About Veterans Connections

We have created a website for veterans and their families to help find and connect with the services and support they need and deserve. It can be hard to locate the right support you need when you need it. On the VC website, you will find links to crisis support, support and counselling services, major organisations that provide a wide array of services, Wellbeing programs and social clubs, links for DVA support, Veterans run businesses and discounts/free services and goods available for Veterans and their families. We currently do not provide any assistance or services directly to veterans. However, in the future hope to receive donations from the public to help veterans that need immediate financial emergency assistance. All-time spent and resources in running this site are volunteered and no profits or wages are generated by VC.

Arunta is deployed on Operation MANITOU, supporting international efforts to promote maritime security, stability and prosperity in the Middle East region (MER). Arunta is on her third deployment to the MER and is the 64th rotation of a Royal Australian Navy vessel to the region since 1990.

My name is Alice Fitzsimmons, I am a Royal Australian Navy Veteran of 14 years, and I am currently still serving full time. I am a mother of four beautiful young children and married to a serving Veteran. My number one passion and love is my family; however, a close second is my passion for enabling people to find their self-worth and helping them reach their full potential. I believe we are on this earth for such a short time that we should make the most of every day and should find the beauty around us and in each other wherever possible, as we all have something unique to offer. These values and beliefs I hold close, have led me down the path of helping those in need in any way I can. This is a large reason why I have created this website, to empower our veterans to seek the assistance that they need when they need it, whilst making it easy to find. For this reason, I welcome all feedback.

My name is Jacob Fitzsimmons, I have been a Sailor in the Royal Australian Navy for 14 years as a CSS Aircraft Controller. After serving on 7 Anzac class frigates, 2 Middle East deployments, countless exercises and 2 posting in the Tri Service environment, I understand the highs and lows that our Veterans experience. My passion and drive to help those that have served our country comes from seeing so many of our brothers and sisters struggling to find the help they need and deserve. If this website can help even one Veteran find the help and support they need, it will have served its purpose. Not only do I strive to connect our Veterans when in need, I also would love to connect them with services to help build them up and move towards success whilst serving and in life after the ADF.
